Making it feel like no store is particularly better than others.

However, when it comes to plus size pajamas…….

Some stores are clearly better than others. With more styles to choose from, better (and larger) selections, and incredible deals.

In this article, we’ll go over the 8 best options for plus size pajamas in 2021.

Let’s get started!

#1 Torrid

The absolute, hands down, best place. Torrid selection is so vast you’ll be sifting through for hours trying to find the perfect fit for you.

And what all do they have?

Practically anything you can think of that you’d want. From cute comfortable fits like their tie dye, to more sexy apparel…….torrid really does have absolutely everything when it comes to plus size pajamas for women.

Now you should know this……

When it comes to pricing as well, torrid is on the money. (Literally). Torrid pricing is fantastic, and they have good deals regularly. Nothing is to unreasonable when it comes to torrid. (Which is why you might consider more of their clothing options as well)

BUT WAIT…..

BEFORE YOU SHOP ONLINE AT TORRID HOWEVER –

Check to see if you have one locally. They have quite a few locations out there, and they have a good selection in stores as well. I always find shopping for clothes to be better in an actual store than online. (Personal preference). (Also you can save on shipping!!)

#2 SHEIN

This company is underrated. For a lot of reasons.

The most important two being, that their selection is LARGE and that they are very very very very very very very very verrrrrryyyy inexpensive for what they offer.

I challenge you to this.

Go on their site, and pick a piece of clothing. Then go on google, and try to find a similar piece at another clothing store. You’ll see just how absurdly good their prices really are. And it’s cute stuff to!

#3 ASOS-

ASOS is comfortable and cute. Lots of cute all over prints and all very comfortable.

ASOS is also not a very expensive brand. Prices are very reasonable and GREAT quality. They also have more sexy pieces as well, but they truly shine when it comes to their cute and comfy apparel.

They also have a LOT to choose from, which makes them another clear winner for plus size pajama sets.

You should know:

ASOS holds some really really great sales, so keep your eye out for deals on their website.

#4 Lane Bryant –

This company has a good selection as well. Not as large as some of the other companies on this list, but still a great selection.

Lane Bryant is very high quality, and worth every penny. They also have VERY good sales on their website every so often. So definitely check those out if you’re looking for a steal.

Lane Bryant’s selection is a lot different than other companies. So definitely check them out. You’ll find a lot of stuff that will surprise you.

#5 Roamans –

If so far none of the brands on this list has suited you, definitely check out roamans.

They have a selection of women’s plus size pajamas that a lot of other companies simply do not have. While their selection is big but not large, you’re going to find stuff here that other brands aren’t offering for plus size people.

Roamans is also very reasonably priced. So if you’re budget conscious you’ll definitely appreciate the prices at roamans.

#6 Catherine’s –

Very large selection with practically anything that anyone would want. Also they fit VERY VERY well for larger people, so if you’re looking for something extra comfy……..this is definitely the place to look into.

Prices are reasonable, and they run lots and lots of sales. Especially check them out around times when seasons are changing or if there are major events. They usually run their best deals around these times.

#7 Target –

Surprise!

Target is surprisingly an AWESOME place to shop for plus size clothing. Especially pajamas.

Why?

Two reasons. They are VERY reasonably priced, and they have a surprisingly nice selection for plus sized people.

I was very surprised to find this out recently, but it’s true! Target really does have a great selection of plus size clothing. From comfy, to sexy, to whatever you’re looking for…..surprisingly they most likely have it.

There is a downside to shopping for plus size at target however…….

Unfortunately their plus sizes don’t go all the way up. In fact, they don’t go up very high at all. (For now anyways, I suspect in the future this will most likely change)

But honestly, that’s really the only downside to buying from target. But really, nobody misses a chance to go to target anyways so, here’s your excuse!

#8 Old Navy –

Another surprise! Honestly, the selection from old navy isn’t the largest. But they have some of the comfiest clothes I’ve ever worn, plus they’re very inexpensive. Don’t skip out on old navy!

Like Target, Old navy unfortunately doesn’t have that many plus size options however. So if you’re on the larger end of plus size people their stuff may not fit you. I will say though that old navy clothes in general fits pretty loose, so it’s definitely worth going into an actual store and trying them on (if possible of course)

Also another plus about Old Navy’s clothes is their INSANE DISCOUNTS. For instance, every year I go and buy 1$ fuzzy socks from them. (No joke) They’ve been doing this for years and it is AWESOME sleepwear. Definitely worth getting. They do crazy discounts on just about everything so be on the lookout.

BONUS: Wal Mart –

Another Surprise! Wal Mart has recently started carrying TONS of great plus size clothing. Seriously, walmarts selection gives other companies a run for their money. Which is surprising as well, because Walmart’s plus size clothing options are very very very inexpensive.

In fact, that’s probably where walmart wins the most compared to other brands…….their pricing. Walmart has got it down pat when it comes to making clothing very very affordable.

And honestly……..

The quality really isn’t that bad either. Years ago, when I’d get clothing from Walmart I’d expect it to get worn out pretty quickly. But, I’ve bought pajamas from them even in the last couple years that are still holding out well today.

Don’t skip on Walmart! Definitely check out what they have. You’ll definitely be surprised.

Conclusion:

Thank you SO SO much for reading this article!

Please, if you have any feedback at all leave it in the comments below.

Again, thank you so much! I hope you enjoyed this article!!!!

Should Fat People Do Float Trips? – What You Need To Know https://thatbigblog.com/should-fat-people-do-float-trips-what-you-need-to-know/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=should-fat-people-do-float-trips-what-you-need-to-know Thu, 15 Jul 2021 18:39:35 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=1395 I’ve taken a LOT of float trips over the years. When I was skinny, and now that I’m larger.

Because of this, there are certain things that I’ve learned you absolutely HAVE to know before you go out on the water.

These are the most important things you need to know before your next float.

#1 – (Most Important) Google The Water Conditions before going.

You’ll need to know the flow rate, and also the water level. THIS IS IMPORTANT. When the water is super low, you can literally end up walking practically an entire trip. Not fun at all. If it is moving to fast, honestly it can be really really tough for a larger person to walk through when they need it.

#2 – Be Careful of The Business You Trust

This is IMPORTANT. These places want your money, so just because they tell you the water is high enough for a larger person……..or that their tube raft will be totally fine for a few people…….do NOT trust them. Be very very specific with your questions, and make sure they understand all of your concerns.

I have literally seen groups of larger people in “6 men rafts” and there only be 5 slightly larger people, and they are stuck on bottom and practically have to walk the ENTIRE trip back. I am not joking at all. The person who runs these trips and sells them tickets KNOWING this will happen should feel ashamed. The owners will many times be the guys putting you in the boat when you launch. They KNOW better and they don’t care.

#3 You might not get your money back

Even if you floated only 10% of your trip (which does happen to a lot of people………and you had to constantly get out and push and were dehydrating in the sun…….you’re honestly most likely not going to get your money back.

When you get there you’re going to sign COUNTLESS waivers. They’re most likely not going to care if they told you you’d be fine and you weren’t. I know it might sound like I’m being overly harsh here, but you should go read reviews online. You’d be shocked.

#4 You should count yourself as an extra person if you are larger

This is pretty simple, but some of the best advise I can give. If the boat is meant for four people…….even if you’re not that much larger, count yourself as two of those people. Like I’ll get to in my next point, a four person raft is really more for three people and a cooler anyways.

#5 A 6 man raft, means 5 people and a cooler or two.

These companies STREEEEEEETCH the amount of people you can really bring on a float trip pretty far. 6 people on a 6 person is almost always to much. Even if you don’t bring a cooler. It’s best to do 4 people on a 6 man if you’re bringing a cooler. If someone is larger, honestly 3. I know this might sound crazy but just do this……..

GO LOOK UP IMAGES OF 6 MAN RAFTS

You’re going to be shocked seeing just how small these are compared to what you should be getting. Please please adhere this warning. I don’t want you to end up walking for miles and miles through the rocks and water. Trudging through that is TOUGH. Especially for large people. And you’ll be walking for HOURS.

#6 Absolutely do not canoe

Floats really aren’t fun to canoe anyways, but if you’re really really into it……don’t do it as a larger person unless you’re majorly experienced on a river. But if you were majorly experienced I’d assume you’d probably have never searched this in the first place.

This advice goes same for kayaks if not more honestly. Kayaks can also break much easier than you’d think in low water like creeks where most floats are. This can cause all sorts of issues such as literally having to walk the kayak all the way back and then having to pay.

#7 Go on a river where other people can help you

AND DONT GO ALONE. Honestly, it’s always better to go with a buddy in any situation……..but on the river, the more people that are around……the better.

Honestly on the river, there’s almost always a team effort going on to help somebody.

#8 Research research research

Most importantly, research the reviews. I will never forget the time me and my girlfriend went on a trip that was supposedly going to be very easy to get to and there were supposed to be signs leading to it. We lost service, and there were practically no signs to figure out where we were supposed to go. After hours, we finally got there……..but the whole group was mad. The bus driver acted like a total you know what that we were only about five minutes late. I mean he serious acted like we were awful people. It was unreal. If I had seen the reviews, I would’ve noted that many people said the same about the staff. Not a big deal at all, but with these places who are constantly shuttling people and trying to make the most money without almost any customer service……..it’s really not surprising to say the least.

If you really take the time to research, you can find places that are VERY inexpensive…….and honestly much better than many of the main companies. From what I’ve found, the bigger they are……the worse they are. Minus a few.

#9 NEVER DO WHITE
WATER RAFTING.

Never, under any circumstances should any larger person white water raft. Even under the best of circumstances, even the best of swimmers are unable to swim out of rapids. There is absolutely no good reason for a larger person to ever go white water rafting. Do. Not. Even. Consider. It.

#10 Bring a LOT of water

As much as you possibly can. People will forget, and you will need a LOT out there. If you’re enjoying yourself and swimming and relaxing, you’ll need to drink a ton of water. It gets HOT when the sun is coming down right on you, and the reflection of the water makes it even hotter. Bring as much as you possibly can.

CONCLUSION:

Yes, I’m aware this might all sound incredibly negative. I won’t lie, it felt VERY negative writing this article. Honestly, float trips are an absolutely INSANE amount of fun. Honestly, some of the most fun I’ve had in my life personally.

But, I really really hope none of this deters you. These were just things that I wish I personally had known before taking some of the trips I’ve taken. Knowing what to expect can honestly make our break a good float trip. If you plan accordingly, you will have a FANTASTIC time that will be memorable for years and years to come.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING. Seriously, thank you so so much for reading my blog. Your support means absolutely so so much to me.

Thank you,

Cameron

It’s never easy for us plus size folks!

Thankfully, If you know the right brands to be on the lookout for……. you can easily find trendy plus size swimsuits.

Note: Not all of these brands do just swimsuits, many different much more and are worth checking out for other cute apparel as well!

LANE BRYANT

Lane Bryant is a trendy brand, that is always updating and changing their styles to match whatever is trending lately in fashion. They also run tons of sales, and are affordable in the first place. They have a great selection of swimsuits.

LAND’S END

While Land’s End is not a plus size exclusive brand, they have a great selection of plus size clothing. Definitely worth checking out for other clothing as well as swimsuits. They also have good sales.

WEARLIVELY

This is a great brand, who isn’t all plus size but has decent options when it comes to clothes that are trendy. Definitely worth checking out. This will probably be a huge brand in the future (it already kinda is).

SHEIN

If you haven’t heard of SHEIN I’d be surprised. I mean, just look at their follower count. 20milliom?! That’s just insane. (Could even be more by the time you’re reading this)

SHEIN is probably the number one brand on this list if you want a large selection with a lot of options. SHEIN really does have something for everyone.

TORRID

Surprise surprise, (not at all) Torrid is on here. They also have a great selection with a ton of options. Some very trendy stuff as well as basic, and really anything you could want.

Swimsuits For All

Swimsuits for all has an incredible selection of trendy plus size swimwear. Not as many people have heard of this brand, but it is definitely worth your time to go and check out if you’re looking for trendy swimwear.

Fashion To Figure?

Also not as well known as the others on this list, fashion to figure makes swimwear that is VERY on trend and is definitely worth your time to check out. I could definitely see these guys blowing up, just because they have some very unique looks.

Other Places To get Plus Size Swimsuits

Target –

No, seriously. Target has GREAT plus size swimwear. Nowadays, if you browse through their stuff online you’d be absolutely shocked at just how much they are offering. (Plus it’s inexpensive as well!)

(Top 10) Best Places to Buy Plus Size Exercise Clothing https://thatbigblog.com/top-10-best-places-to-buy-plus-size-exercise-clothing/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=top-10-best-places-to-buy-plus-size-exercise-clothing Tue, 13 Jul 2021 04:18:34 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=1106 In this article we’ll go over the top 10 best places to get plus size exercise clothes.

If you like content for larger people, please subscribe! And thank you so much for reading!!

Academy Sports –

This definitely the number one pick, mainly because they are an actual athletic wear company, so they do make better clothing for athletic use than other companies. It is very high quality material, and affordable at the same time.

Academy has a large selection of plus size exercise clothing, both for men and women. Which is a plus considering that some athletic wear companies only do one or the other. (Which really doesn’t make sense to me at all personally)

As a bonus, Academy runs lots of great deals every once in awhile on their website. So definitely keep them in mind. Even though, their prices are already more than affordable, especially for what you get.

TJMAXX –

People SLEEP on tj maxx. Honestly, the amount of good plus size (up to 7xl sometimes) is seriously just unbelievable.

I pretty much always find something whenever I go there, and it’s usually a BARGAIN. Everything at this store always seems to be on sale. My girlfriend can’t seem to stay away.

The best reason why this store is so good for plus size exercise clothes?

Is honestly because of how consistent it is, and how inexpensive they are. I literally always find something there. Plus, when it’s inexpensive it’s not as big of a deal because you know you’ll be messing it up anyways (since it is exercise clothes)

Also, the nice thing about tjmaxx is that you can return them as well if you don’t like it in the store. Rather than having to send it back online which is a headache.

Definitely worth checking out. Even if not for clothes! They have other awesome stuff there as well.

Ross –

Another VERY underrated and overlooked place to buy plus size clothing. I consistently find great plus size clothing at Ross, just like at TJMAXX. It’s always a ridiculously good deal, and it’s always good stuff as well.

People really have no idea what they’re missing at Ross.

Also you HAVE TO KNOW THIS.

On certain days of the week they will drastically discount stuff. I mean DRASTICALLY. I’ve found brand new clothing there for literally just a couple bucks. If you ask the managers they are usually able to help you with finding out when the markdowns will be. Ps: The end of season markdowns are completely insane.

The best reason you should shop there?

A lot of the clothes there are very very inexpensive. So you don’t have to worry if your going to end up messing up your clothes you’re going to workout in.

Lane Bryant-

Yes, they can be more expensive…….but Lane Bryant’s quality and selection make it worth it. They have some of the highest quality exercise clothing for plus size people. Unfortunately however, this only includes women and not men.

Lane Bryant also does lots of sales. So be on the lookout!

Again, unfortunately this company as of the time this was written doesn’t have men’s exercise clothes.

Torrid –

High quality, and durable – Torrid is always a great brand for plus size people in general. Their exercise clothes however are fantastic. A lot better quality than many of the other plus size exercise brands out there.

They do come with a higher price tag than most, so be aware. The nice thing however is there are physical torrid locations. So if the times allow, you can try on whatever clothing you’re looking for – before you buy it. This is a HUGE plus.

Torrid also has a very large selection of exercise clothes, so that is a major plus.

Please Read: Unfortunately torrid does not carry any men’s exercise clothing currently. Only women’s.

Target –

Surprise! Yes, target does carry plus size clothing now………and surprisingly it is very very high quality. Maybe not as nice as a designer brands, or an athletic brands…….but still target exercise clothes are great for plus size people.

Unfortunately however, target isn’t the absolute best place for plus size clothing because of one major flaw…..

Their plus sizes don’t go up that high. So, even though they now carry plus sizes, unfortunately you still might not be able to fit into them.

Everything else about them though?

Fantastic. It’s all higher quality than you’d expect and is very reasonably priced.

Anyways, I doubted you needed an excuse to go to target……but here’s yours!

Amazon –

The reason why amazon made the list?

Their selection is absolutely MASSIVE. I mean it’s seriously insane how many plus size exercise clothes you can find on this site. You could literally spend hours and hours and hours going through every single piece of clothing, and still barely scratch the surface. Amazon. Has. Everything.

Another reason I chose this –

Amazons reviews make the process much easier in selecting what you want. You can easily tell when an item fits to big or to small……simply from reading the reviews.

As larger people this is just so helpful. Mainly because we simply have more needs than others when it comes to our clothing.

Seriously check out amazon if you have the time. Absolutely incredible selection for plus size people there.

Old Navy –

Honestly, I haven’t tried any old navy clothes ever for exercise……..but people online everywhere rant and rave about how good they are. So I had to add them in this list. In the future, I’m definitely going to go and try them out and see how good they are!

Taking a look at their website, it all looks very high quality and Has great pricing.

What you should know:

Most of the ranting and raving I saw online about old Navy was because of their leggings.

Also fun fact about Old Navy:

They run TONS of awesome sales. Every year I go and get their one dollar fuzzy socks.

Wal Mart –

Surprisingly! Wal Mart now carries plus size clothes. And they’re surprisingly nice, and very inexpensive.

There’s a pretty good selection online, but unfortunately they’re a little harder to find in the store. I’ve seen their selection online though, and it looks great.

Reason they’re on this list?

I found a lot of comments online saying how surprised they were at the quality. Honestly, if they’re as good as the comments say I’m definitely going to get some when I find it. Plus, they’re super inexpensive! Which is always a plus, especially when you’re going to tear them up a bit since they’re exercise clothes.

You should know:

While these clothes are plus size, they don’t go up in size as much as you’d expect. So they might not fit if you’re on the larger end of plus size.

Kohl’s –

Kohl’s has a ton of great options when it comes to plus size clothes. They’re not my personal favorite, but a lot of people do love to shop there for their exercise clothes.

What I will say though, and the reason they made the list…….

They are VERY inexpensive. Absolutely huge value when it comes to plus size clothing. Not very many plus size clothing companies have the deals like Kohl’s do. In fact, I’d say that most dont. At the very least they’re worth checking out.

Conclusion:

Hope you enjoyed this article!!!! Thank you so much for reading!!!

If you have any suggestions on other places, please feel free to leave a comment! (Or if you have anything to say in general)

Again, thank you so so much for reading!!!

Should Obese People Fast? – HIDDEN BENEFITS https://thatbigblog.com/should-obese-people-fast-hidden-benefits/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=should-obese-people-fast-hidden-benefits Sun, 20 Jun 2021 20:21:47 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=1379

READ THIS MESSAGE BEFOREHAND:

I am NOT a doctor, and this is NOT medical advice. This is a personal story, with a surprising benefit I got from fasting as a morbidly obese man. Most people don’t talk about this, so I thought I’d share.

Don’t want to read the whole article?

THE MAIN HIDDEN BENEFIT IS BEING LESS HUNGRY IN GENERAL. (You’ll feel full much much quicker, and with less food when you’re not fasting. )

Fasting has tons of other benefits as well. Read on if interested!

Here’s my (quick) story:

Starting last year, I got stressed out because I wanted to get serious about my diet. It was SO MUCH harder than I expected it to be, and I’ve felt like I’ve done a lot more challenging things than this……….but…..

The constant feeling of being hungry was driving me absolutely up a wall.

I felt like I had no energy. My stomach would hurt, i’d have headaches, id feel weak, and honestly I hate to say it…….but I felt depressed because of how food had a hold on me that it didn’t seem to have on other people.

So, I started searching around and trying different things to see what type of diet I could be successful with. I ended up trying a TON of different stuff, everything from stuff you’ve probably heard of before like IM (intermittent fasting) and even weird old diets where you’d only eat the color green foods. Lol.

That’s when I discovered fasting…….

I’ve stopped looking for more diet plans since then.

By far, when I discovered fasting…….I had the absolute BEST results.

Fasting is the best diet I’ve ever done.

You should try it!

Here’s some of the benefits you get from fasting

  • Feeling INCREDIBLE (and less sluggish throughout the day)
  • Feeling FULL ( Sometimes even STUFFED with WAY LESS FOOD when I’m not fasting. I seriously eat way less food now. Probably about a third of what I used to calorically and I will feel stuffed after a meal)
  • Not feeling very hungry at all……….even when going for quite some time without food
  • WAY LESS CRAVINGS
  • Waking up easier in the morning and sleeping better
  • WALLET (Also the cheapest diet plan ever. So that helped lol.)

READ THIS TO GET THE MOST OUT OF YOUR FASTING:

The way you fast will change your results pretty significantly. You’ve got to consistently change the way you fast in order to make it work for you.

For instance, there are some weeks where I don’t fast at all. I just eat however I feel like, and I will feel full will less food thanks to the benefit of fasting earlier in the week. I’ll wait until I have a week that’s relatively stress free and I do my fasting then. This helps me quite a bit. If I fast on a stressful week, what usually happens is I end up getting frustrated and eating more than I would have in the first place. Dieting is truly a mental game, and you’ve got to prepare prepare prepare.

Which brings me to my next point. Have a plan for when you want to say forget it and stop fasting. Say you’re fasting for 24 hours like I do, you’ll get to a few points in the day where you’re going to feel VERY hungry. Knowing yourself will help most here. You need to find a way to distract yourself to get through this. Distracting, or comforting myself usually is what helps me the most. I’ll watch tv I really like, or I’ll do some really hard mental work. Doing this keeps my mind away from the hunger pains until they pass. Some people I’ve seen online just take naps! I’ve never been that bad off, but I am prepared to just in case! The number one thing you don’t want to do is ruin your hard days work and break the fast.

Be prepared to fail a few times.

Yes, I know people say it’s a bad idea to plan to fail…….because they say you have a better chance of losing now. This might be true, but for me I’ve found its better to have a plan if I do fail. If I do decide that I’m just going to eat and forget the diet, I’m feeling to sluggish or whatever it is……

Having this plan B always helps me. My personal plan B is to drink a LARGE glass of water, and then eating a piece of baked chicken and some green beans (very low calorie) and then waiting an hour. I eat it all very very very slow. (This helps with the craving I’m experiencing as well). Usually, after this I feel better and am able to continue the rest of the day with not the full, but close to the full benefits of the fast.

Hope you enjoyed this article!!!! Thanks so much for reading!!!!!

TOP 5 (Actually Good) Places to buy Plus Size Cosplay Clothing https://thatbigblog.com/top-5-actually-good-places-to-buy-plus-size-cosplay-clothing/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=top-5-actually-good-places-to-buy-plus-size-cosplay-clothing Tue, 16 Mar 2021 20:47:55 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=995 In general, buying plus size clothing is hard…….but when it comes to cosplay plus size clothing…..it becomes even harder.

Thankfully, nowadays there are now tons of ACTUALLY GOOD options to buy plus size cosplay clothing. In this article we’ll go over the top 5 BEST options.

Let’s Get Started!

#1 AMAZON.

Yes, I know that you wouldn’t expect this. When I looked up plus size cosplay stuff on there however I was AMAZED at just how much they had to offer. It’s absolutely incredible just how many options amazon has nowadays when it comes to plus size clothing. You will be shocked I PROMISE you. The options are also VERY good and have many good reviews on them.

When you’re searching through Amazon, make sure to try many different keyword options. I found that it can get overwhelming, so it’s better to search for specifically what I want rather than just sifting through. Even though, with how much they have you could literally look through for hours.

Sidenote: If you’re going for a specific character, you might try getting some of the simpler items from amazon and then having the rest custom made to save money. Rather than say, having the full thing custom made.

Not Convinced?

Check out this AWESOME Cosplay Haul from Youtuber : Miniidear

#2 ETSY

I absolutely LOVE ETSY. The amount of options you can get as a plus size person that can be uniquely crafted specifically for you is INCREDIBLE. Most people really have no idea just how awesome this website really is. (I could go on and on about them and their history lol)

On ETSY you can get some VERY high quality stuff that is tailored to however you want it. You can get stuff that is pre made, or you can have something made just for you. There are a LOT of designers to choose from.

Sidenote: A lot of the designers on ETSY do charge more since they are small time crafters and it’s their own work. (Also personalized items simply cost more) I personally believe it’s worth more than every penny. Seriously, go check out ETSY. You’ll love it.

Not Convinced?

Here’s a Review I found on YouTube you might enjoy if you’re interested in purchasing from Etsy!

#3 Warner Bros

Why this is on the top five list is because it is VERY close to movie accurate. Since, it is literally from the studio itself.

Yes, it doesn’t have as large of a selection because of this. But, Warner Bros still has a TON of incredible stuff to choose from. (Also, major shoutout to them because the Harry Potter franchise is my favorite movie franchise of all time)

As an aside, you will pay more for these costumes. There is a premium since you are buying from Warner bros themselves. But, you’re also getting that movie accuracy like I talked about before, and that’s hard to beat.

#4 Ebay

eBay is BY FAR one of the most overlooked place to buy just about anything honestly………but especially cosplay.

Check out this video below of this awesome eBay haul. There’s a good chance you’ll be surprised at what she found. (And the price!)

#5 Hot Topic

This might come as a BIG surprise, but Hot Topic has UPPED their game in a dramatic way when it comes to plus size clothing recently. If you’re like me, you probably remember back in the day they didn’t have as much plus size stuff. Now, that’s not the case at all.

Their selection of plus size clothing in general is really good, but their selection of plus size cosplay stuff is surprising. It’s definitely one of the best places to shop for plus size cosplay.

What’s also really nice is you can get the full outfit all in one place, so you don’t have to be searching everywhere for whatever thing you’re looking for exactly. You can have it all done at once.

Also, the prices are REALLY good at hot topic. Much less than other stores for sure. Pair that with whenever they have a sale and you can get a really good bargain.

BONUS : Thrift Stores

NO, I AM NOT JOKING.

I have found an ABUNDANCE of good plus size cosplay material at thrift stores. Yes, that might be surprising to hear, but nowadays I’m finding larger sizes all the time when I shop at thrift stores. I’m not exactly sure why this is, but there is MUCH more now than their used to be.

My favorite thing about this, is getting it for a really really good price. That, and the thrill of the hunt of course.

Finally, the NUMBER ONE REASON YOU SHOULD TRY A THRIFT STORE:

-You can try on the clothes there-

I know, it might not sound like THAT big of a deal, but it can be ANNOYING buying something online thinking it will fit……..and then having to return it when it doesn’t. It’s a whole ordeal.

Actually being able to go and try the item on, is the best part. Because you’ll now right then and there if this is going to work for you. If you REALLY do end up having to return it after trying it…….you at least know all you have to do is drop by that store.

More (Actually Good) Places To Find Plus Size Cosplay –

Torrid –

While they don’t have a vast selection of cosplay, Torrid does have plus size cosplay. Torrid has VERY high quality clothing, and is one of the more well known plus size brands. They have a great reputation, and a large following online. As a plus, their site is incredibly easy to browse as a larger person.

MICCOSTUMES –

The selection and everything about this site is AWESOME. But most importantly, the selection. The selection is absolutely insane. Probably the best selection out of any cosplay site out there. (In my opinion)

The only problem, is that not everything in this site is plus size unfortunately. So you’ll have to sift through to find what will fit and what won’t. This is definitely a site to look at and find some really good stuff.

More information on buying plus size Cosplay –

It’s going to be slightly difficult no matter what to get plus size cosplay. From finding the right clothes, to the right fit, to getting them shipped to you. Not to discourage you, but it really is the truth.

So, the absolute best thing to do is to do COMPLETE research before buying whatever product it is you’re looking at. Even when it comes to accesories.

Don’t be shy! Ask the person selling the item any question that you can think of, and be sure to get the absolute most accurate measurements possible. Most of suppliers should be able to get you whichever measurements you’re looking for.

Also…..

These suppliers I listed, are the ones I found to be the best. But they may not be what’s right for you personally. So, like I said before it’s best to research every product specifically before you buy.

Conclusion:

I hope you enjoyed this article!!!! And thank you SO much for reading this blog. It means so much.

PLEASE, If you have any comment at all please leave it below. It is GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks again!!!!!

Here’s How much weight you need to lose to drop a shirt size https://thatbigblog.com/heres-how-much-weight-you-need-to-lose-to-drop-a-shirt-size/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=heres-how-much-weight-you-need-to-lose-to-drop-a-shirt-size Sun, 28 Feb 2021 16:24:09 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=1311 In this article, well go over the research I’ve done on just exactly how much weight you need to lose to drop a shirt size. I went through a TON of effort figuring this out, so I hope you enjoy the article. Thanks for reading!

So, how much weight do you need to lose to drop a shirt size?

Short answer: To go down a shirt size, you’ll need to lose between ten pounds to forty pounds. The larger you are, the more weight you’ll need to lose to drop a size. Example: From XL to L you’ll need to lose about ten pounds, versus about 25 pounds to go from 5x to a 4x. There are other variables involved as well, but for most people this is your best estimate.

Other Variables:

Height: The height of an individual greatly alters the weight you’ll need to lose. In general, the taller you are, the more weight you’ll need to lose to drop a shirt size. Because you have more mass. It’s much much harder for a 6 foot person to drop a size, versus a 5 foot person. A y’all person will need to lose up To double what a short person needs to lose in order to drop a shirt size. Also, being tall can complicate things even further by the different lengths of t shirts. Some taller people need to wear different types of shirts. An XLT is much different than a T.

Body shape: Your shape can play the biggest role in wether or not you will be dropping a size. For instance, someone who keeps most of their weight below their midsection will lose most of their weight there first. This might sound like common sense, and it is….but it is important to consider. Also, same thing goes for someone who is top heavy like me. I lose most of my weight very quickly in the top section because most of my weight is there. Whereas most people my size will lose 20 pounds to drop a shirt size, it only takes me about 12-15. If I wasn’t so too heavy it would be different, and it would take me about 25 pounds or so.

muscle versus fat: Muscle takes up a LOT less space than fat, so if you’re losing weight while simultaneously gaining muscle, things can be skewed. This isn’t as dramatic as you’d think however, and won’t skew things to much unless you’re making absolutely gigantic gains. Which, if you are……props to you. Really, this won’t affect to much.

Brand of shirt size: The brand of the shirt you are wearing plays an INCREDIBLE role in how much you fill it out. Some shirts are HUGE in comparison for others. That can be VERY apparent when shipping certain big and tall brands who can be easily 50% larger than other brands with a similar size tag. You’ll notice this with a lot of shirts in your closet, if you take the time to go through them. Putting a few same size shirts on top of each other shows just how ridiculous this can be. All sizes are not created equal! This also goes by country to country, where even the same brand can be larger in one country versus another.

Shirt is stretched (or shrunk): This is another very simple factor, a shirt that is shrunk won’t fit the same as a stretched one. I can easily wear a shirt that is a size to small for me if it has been stretched. On the other hand, I have shirts that were shrunk and I can’t where them anymore. It’s just how it goes sometimes.

How I did this research:

Surprise, surprise……the internet. Also, with myself when I was losing weight.

I mainly took information from other blogs, and used that information with my own from how it was whenever I was losing weight.

Honestly, what surprised me the most was the consistency of how so many people would drop about ten pounds and go down a size if they were in the lower range of shirts. The same as when they were larger they needed to lose more to drop a size. Honestly, this made a lot of my research very easy.

I also went on forums as well, but even though I love forums……it was a little harder to trust all the information so I took each with a grain of salt. If one person said they had to lose 60 pounds to drop a size……well of course I didn’t listen to anything else they had to say. They would’ve had to have a legitimate reason why they needed to drop so much weight in order to drop a size for them to be credible.

Conclusion:

I hope you enjoyed this article!!!! And I wish you the best on your journey to lose weight as well, I know it can be extremely hard to lose weight. Especially currently where we have to stay home so often. If you’re interested, this is my blog on life as a larger person!

Again, thanks so much for reading this article!!!!

If you have any input at all, especially on how I can make the blog better….please leave a comment. Any and all advice is GREATLY appreciated.

Also, if you have info on how much weight it took you to drop a size as well I’d also greatly appreciate that as well.

And one more time, seriously thanks again. It really means a ton to me that people read the blog.

Jeans For Fat Guys (That’ll Make You Look Goooood) https://thatbigblog.com/jeans-for-fat-guys-thatll-make-you-look-goooood/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=jeans-for-fat-guys-thatll-make-you-look-goooood Sun, 28 Feb 2021 04:17:02 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=1246 If you’re larger like me……….

You’ve probably dealt with jeans that look TERRIBLE on you.

So, I wrote this article……

So YOU can get yourself a nice pair of jeans that look and feel great.

In this article you’ll learn:

Jean options that’ll look good on ANY larger person

Jean options that are budget friendly.

AND jean options that are comfortable.

Let’s get started!

Table Of Contents:

How to choose the right jeans:

Where to shop for your jeans:

Jeans that’ll make you look GOOD.

How to choose the right jeans:

Choosing the right pair of jeans, that will make you look good (as a larger person) , and will fit well is honestly not as hard as you’d think.

Getting a good pair of jeans comes down to 3 things.

The Rise. – the rise on a pair of jeans is simply a measurement from the bottom of the crotch to the top of the waistband. There are different types of rises. For large men you will want low rise jeans. These are the most flattering, because they sit below the stomach. They are also the most comfortable.

The Fit – the fit of a gene measures how tight, or loose the jeans are. Skinny jeans are the tightest. Husky (or loose) is the loosest. For larger people, we want our jeans to be in the middle. Not too tight or too loose. This means you’re either want a relaxed fit, or a straight fit Jean.

Leg opening style – This is how your jeans look at the bottom. There are quite a few different styles out there. Generally you’ll want a straight cut (just a straight all the way down cut) or a boot cut if you have larger ankles like I do. (boot cut is slightly larger at the bottom so it hides more). Other cuts will either hug the ankles to much, or show the ankles like a tapered cut.

Now, you might be thinking……

Seriously? Thats all I need to know?

Aren’t there more options that I should be considering?

And the answer is yes……….to an extent.

The thing is….

Most of the other options are simply personal preference.

Let me give you an example.

I could tell you that blue jeans look better faded. But of course, you might think the opposite.

See what I’m saying? Thats all that their really is to it. Once you’ve git the rise, leg opening style, and the fit right……youve got yourself a great looking pair of jeans you can wear anywhere. From there, you pick the style based on personal preference.

Quick tip: I really do think darker, faded blue jeans do look the best. They’re visually slimming. So, if you really are struggling with choosing……just go with that. This style can go formal or casual. It basically works for any occasion. Not to mention it also matches with a lot of clothes as well.

Where to shop for your jeans

READ THIS FIRST: NOT ALL OF THESE OPTIONS WILL BE RIGHT FOR YOU.

What I mean by this, is that depending on your size………. You may or may not be able to get something for your size. I’ve included places that are good for all larger sizes. But some stores have limited options and only carry some plus size, while others are much more accommodating for larger individuals. I just wanted you to be aware. Its best to call ahead as well because some stores vary as well from location to location.

DXL –

When it comes to jeans, DXL is by far one of the best places to shop at for many reasons. They have a great selection of different jeans to choose from, and since the store is catered towards larger guys its very easy to find something you’ll like here. Pair this with the fact that salesman are very quick to help and it makes this place a no brainer to shop at. The only downside is that the prices can get high. SO SIGN UP FOR THEIR MAILING LIST. (seriously they send out incredible deals often)

Burlington –

This company is underrated in my opinion. They have a great selection of clothing in general that is plus size, but my favorite thing is just how inexpensive they are. You can almost always find an awesome deal if you shop at Burlington. You’ll really never know what you’ll find when you walk in.

Jcpenney –

many people don’t know this, but jcpenney has a surprisingly extensive big and tall section. They have a little bit of almost everything, so you’re very likely to find a good pair of jeans you’ll like there. Also, prices are fairly reasonable.

Levis –

You’d be surprised at what levis has to offer when it comes to jeans for larger guys. If you haven’t heard of them, the !!!!!! Is the GOAT of all jeans for bigger guys. Countless larger guys find these to be the absolute best Jean out there. It has everything from comfort, looks, and price. Its actually the number one Jean I recommend in this article.

King Size Direct –

If you’re larger I’m sure you’ve heard of these guys. I’ve personally enjoyed everything about them. They’re priced slightly high though. The big downside is you can’t actually go in their stores and try the stuff on to get a feel for how you’d like them.

Jeans that’ll make you look GOOD

#1 – LEVIS –

levis are the best jeans for larger men by far. They are well known in male fashion groups, especially those by larger males to make some of the best, and most importantly flattering jeans for larger guys. Many of their pairs of jeans are roomy on the top half, and stretchy as well. Making them fit ridiculously nice.

#2 Duluth –

While this brand isn’t necessarily known for their jeans, Duluth makes some of the best looking jeans I’ve ever seen. They’re also very high quality and durable compared to other jeans. So when you buy these you’re much more likely to have them for quite some time. Duluth can be more pricey as well, so if you hold out for a sale however you’ll be golden. Only downside to these jeans is that they don’t feel as comfy as others.

#3 LL Bean –

Some of the absolute best looking jeans out there for larger Men come from this brand. They make good jeans for every occasion, but they definitely lean more toward the dressier style of Jean…….while still staying casual.

#4 7 For All Mankind –

Many people SWEAR by this brand, and taking one look at any of their jeans you can clearly see why. I’ve never been able to try one of these yet for myself, but hopefully ill be able to try a pair on for myself in the future. There is a LOT of hype for these. Definitely worth checking out.

#5 LEE Jeans –

I’ve never really liked the style of Lee jeans, but I do have a pair and every once in awhile ill wear them because they are MAJORLY COMFORTABLE. If you need a pair you can do a lot of work in, these are the ones to get. I decided to include these in this section because a lot of people really feel like the style of these jeans are flattering in the right places. Everyone has their own preference.

Obese and Back hurts when walking? Here’s What To Do https://thatbigblog.com/obese-and-back-hurts-when-walking-heres-what-to-do/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=obese-and-back-hurts-when-walking-heres-what-to-do Sun, 28 Feb 2021 04:04:20 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=1303 Not surprisingly, back pain is a very common occurrence for obese people to run into.

Here in this article, we’re going to talk about what to do if you are obese and your back hurts when doing any type of movement like exercising or walking.

Because of this, it has some very simple solutions.

I hope you enjoy this article. And thank you for stopping by the blog!

Table of contents:

The very first thing you should do

The causes of your back pain

How to stop your back pain

The very first thing you should do

The very first thing you should do by far, is simply consult your doctor. Back pain is a serious issue, and should be taken seriously. Seriously, do not neglect this. Don’t do anything else until you have consulted with your doctor.

This is the absolute most important step. Do not do anything at all until you have spoken with a professional doctor. Also, make sure to talk to your doctor about seeing a specialist for your back pain as well.

Again, I cannot stress enough how this is the very first thing you should be doing. Always consult with your doctor before doing anything regarding your health.

The causes of your back pain

Most of the time, when larger people experience back pain. It is usually because of 1 of 3 reasons. These reasons are not exercising, poor posture , and being to overweight.

Each of these has a specific reason for causing your back pain. Being overweight shifts your center of gravity, not exercising means your abdominal muscles aren’t strong enough to support you, and poor posture causes pressure to the spine.

Almost Every time, these are the reasons for your back pain if you’re larger. BUT IT COULD BE SOMETHING ELSE. So, like I said before, it is always best to consult with your doctor before doing ANYTHING.

An example of something that causes back pain that is unusual:

Sleeping on your stomach. This has happened to me quite frequently, where I will forget that this will cause me back pain and sleep on my stomach. I will be in PAIN for most of the day (and sometimes a couple of days).

How To Stop Your Back Pain –

So, like we covered in the last section, most likely your back pain is coming from one of three things. Either bad posture, to much weight gain (causing the center of gravity to be shifted), or your muscles are to weak.

The thing is, how do you identify which one is the problem?

Well, the thing is…….

You can’t really tell until you start experimenting with the solutions. (I know I know, not what you want to hear…..but it’s the truth unfortunately)

So this is what you’ll need to do:

You’re going to need to do all three of these things…..(each of these will combat a back pain problem)

#1 Walk around with correct posture – I’m telling you this is almost ALWAYS the culprit for me. After an hour of walking around correctly my back feels INFINITELY BETTER. As larger people we don’t realize it, but we spend a LOT of time walking around with extremely bad posture. This is causing ENORMOUS strain to our backs.

#2 Start trying to lose weight – Yes I know this is a tough one, and is so much easier said than done…….but you can do it. Just remember that losing weight is simply a mental game. You’re playing mental chess with yourself. It’s really not as hard as you might think either. As larger people we tend to act like losing weight is impossible. But it’s simply eating better, and eating less.

#3 Exercise – When we exercise we strengthen our abdominal muscles which lessens our back pain. Your abdominal muscles are what holds you up so they’re drastically important to keeping away back pain.

Conclusion:

I hope you enjoyed this article!!!! If you enjoyed reading this, or have ANY input PLEASE leave a comment. It is appreciated more than you know. Again, thank you so so much.

The MOST INSANE Before & After Weight Loss Photos Of All Time https://thatbigblog.com/the-most-insane-before-after-weight-loss-photos-of-all-time/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=the-most-insane-before-after-weight-loss-photos-of-all-time Wed, 10 Feb 2021 06:13:44 +0000 http://thatbigblog.com/?p=1212 In this article, we are going to go over the absolute most INSANE Weight Loss journeys you’ll possibly EVER see.

I don’t think ANYONE will EVER top what these people have done when it comes to weight loss.

Results are COMPLETELY shocking and even slightly MESMERIZING considering just how crazy this is.

It’s hard to believe what people can do.

#1 Amber Rachdi

Amber Rachdi has had one of the most incredible weight loss stories that I’ve ever heard of (and I know quite a lot of them). She struggled hard with her weight even as a young child. Her main issue? Anxiety. Food was a way to calm these demons. Even though, it made her life hell. Amber has one of the quickest changes I’ve ever seen, her story is absolutely incredible. Definitely worth checking out.

Hearing about her story is incredibly hard because of all the enablers. When you have a lot of people in your life that want you to be fat…….it must be incredibly hard. I can’t even imagine. Of course, these people didn’t say they wanted her to be. But their actions said otherwise.

#2 Ethan Suplee

Not only did Ethan lose a LOT of weight, but he also became a BEAST. Ethan is one of the biggest guys I’ve ever seen (muscle wise) after his weight loss transformation. It’s personally inspiring for me, and not something you see often.

What I really like the most about his journey, is how he never gave up through a lot of constant failure. He did EIGHTEEN YEARS of dieting, without much success (some small wins) but nothing major……and he still kept going. Goes to show that just sticking with it is always what will help you win in the end.

#3 Jesse Shand

Jesse Shand is one of the most inspiring stories I’ve ever heard when it comes to losing weight. He got close to 700 pounds before he started his journey……and the whole thing is just…….humbling.

Bodybuilding.com makes this absolutely incredible video showcasing the journey. I’ve watched this a few times, and the story of absolute depression and giving up to truly living is one of the most inspiring things I’ve ever seen.

If you’re larger, you’ll definitely identify with a lot of this. He really goes into some of the thoughts and problems that people have when their overweight. Which is something a lot of overweight people ignore in their weight loss videos.

#4 Vance Hinds

Vances story is incredible for a lot of reasons. There was a ton of hard work, and effort that he put in. Physically and mentally. He records his journey online, and gained quite a serious following.

The most incredible thing about his journey? Is honestly how quickly he achieved such a massive amount of weight loss. 198 pounds in just 365 days is absolutely insane. Anyone that thinks otherwise, is kidding themselves. In fact, very very few people achieve this type of weight loss in that period of time.

#5 Pat Brocco

A former bodyguard to celebrities, pat never thought about his size because people wanted large bodyguards. It took a long time for before he even considered his health to be an issue. His story is insane for a lot of reasons, but what really stuck with me was that he lost more fat than he weighed.

Pats story is very inspirational. You can tell he really struggled with his weight loss but he still kept pushing no matter what. His dedication is really what impressed me the most. You’ve got to fight for what you want.

Conclusion

Thank you SO much for reading this article!!

Please! If you have any comments or suggestions at all leave a comment below! It is GREATLY appreciated.

Seriously, thank you so much.
