The Easiest Home exercise for Obese Beginners – Fun and feels good!

When it comes to exercise……..one of the primary reasons people never do it, is because it’s HARD. In fact, BEFORE I gained almost 300 pounds…….I was thin and exercising ALL THE TIME. Enjoying life and was honestly really healthy.

The reason why I was skinny and so healthy? Was because I LOVED to skateboard, I did it for hours on end. My LOVE for this EXERCISE was what was keeping me thin…..and I had no idea.

So here’s the question I have for you. That could change your life:

What if you could fall in love with an exercise? One that could make you feel INCREDIBLE in EVERY aspect of your life. One that I personally believe is absolutely PERFECT for almost every obese/morbidly obese person out there?

Yes, I realize this sounds like a sales pitch. But honestly, this workout has become the BEST part of my day. I could never give it up. No way.

Dead serious, when I do this exercise………absolutely EVERYTHING about my day becomes better…..my mood……my body………I feel loose, and I feel ENERGETIC

(which if you know any morbidly obese people you know this is seriously hard to do without a few cups of coffee).

I’m talking naturally energy to, that get up and go energy you see in the movies where you wonder…..what’s wrong with that guy!

So, what is it? Well before I tell you and you go “ugh, i’ve heard of that before” and click away…….

First let me tell you what you HAVENT heard before about this workout. 

What you’ll get:

  • You can take this at ANY and I mean ANY pace and it still works (great for obese people)
  • You will feel more flexible, and more Alive. Your endorphins will flow more
  • Your confidence can literally be raised (This is actually true of all workouts
  • Stronger heart (this is an aerobic activity)
  • Your lungs will work better (a product of aerobic exercise) 

These things combined with many other things (for instance this being low impact which is GREAT for obese people) makes this the absolute king of exercise for people that are overweight.

Okay, I get it. You want to know. I just wanted to tell you some of the benefits first! The absolute perfect exercise is.

Here’s the answer – Step aerobics.

Don’t leave yet! Let me explain why step aerobics is so incredible. I’m telling you this will change your life.

It’s changed mine so why can’t it change yours?

So…………Yes, I’m talking about where you step up and down and in different directions on a step platform.

I know……..step aerobics doesn’t sound that great……………………

but HANG WITH ME, There are still more reasons why I believe this is the best exercise for you. Ones you haven’t thought of yet. I PROMISE this is worth your time. It’ll only take 30 seconds here and maybe I can change your life. (Or well your exercise life – which can affect every other aspect of your life in a way)

So, why is it so perfect for larger/obese people?

It takes AWAY all the problems large people have when it comes to exercising.

Let me prove it to you:

Just think of the last time you exercised.

Most likely, you were overworked……and felt EXHAUSTED. Perhaps you even GAVE UP. 

With step exercises, it’ll never be to hard. You simply can go at your own pace at all times. 

You literally can do the right amount of exercise that fits you constantly. If you need to go slow……go slow! If you want to push yourself…..PUSH YOURSELF!

Seriously, step aerobics is made for larger people.

Another huge benefit of step aerobics? You WON’T get bored! Let me explain how:

Seriously, when was the last time you did an exercise that you really enjoyed…….being larger people, most exercises are to hard for us. Honestly, they get boring and uninteresting fast. Mainly because of repetitive motion. (Think running, bicycling)

But with step aerobics, You can literally THROW ON YOUR FAVORITE TV show and just cruise through a workout, AND literally never be bored or overwhelmed the entire time. When I’m doing step aerobics I’m enjoying myself and I’m FEELING GOOD.

Which is the most important benefit – You feel SO good when you do step aerobics. You literally use your whole body when you do this. Your arms, your legs, your entire body will feel absolutely AMAZING because you’re stretching and utilizing every muscle. Your endorphins will FLOW. Plus, when you get done and you plop down this feeling continues for HOURS not like the pain you might feel after doing other exercises.

So, yes I might sound crazy…….and I’m feeling kinda crazy about this……but seriously I’m so happy I started doing step.

I’ve tried everything out there as an obese man, that’s EVERYTHING. The only other exercise that comes close is swimming…….which is nice, but who has a pool in their backyard they can just use whenever?! (Unfortunately not me)

At the very least you should consider doing this. Here’s another reason step aerobics are great – If you’re larger, it’s VERY easy to get hurt doing other exercises. Step aerobics is much safer.

Seriously, I’ve injured myself on everything from running on a treadmill, to skateboarding, bicycling, to even an elliptical (which I also recommend elliptical machines for larger people…..the exercises just get boring after awhile) 

With step aerobics you won’t (likely) end up hurt. Well, I guess it IS possible but likely? No way.

The other best thing about step workouts? You can do them ANYWHERE.

Seriously, you DONT need to lug around a treadmill or a bike or WHATEVER you exercise on, all you need is a stair or preferably a step up platform. 

This is a HUGE benefit to you, wether you realize it or not. When you decide to exercise on other equipment as a larger person…….you’ll find that many of them have very restrictive weight limits……and to lug them around you’ll find it’s basically impossible. Just to bring my treadmill downstairs it took three people to lug it down. Two were construction workers.

Just look at this treadmill. This is the type of stuff you’ll need if you’re larger like me unfortunately. These cost a ton of money, and don’t have near the benefits of step aerobics. I barely even use the treadmill now compared to my step block. Poor treadmill!


So you ready for the biggest benefit of all?

These things are SO cheap. Seriously, you can make a makeshift platform……..or you can always buy one online. You can even get specialty ones for lower impact.

Now how awesome is that? I think that’s incredible personally. 

Everything else out there just doesn’t compare. We’re talking not even slightly when it comes to how much you spend.

Even if you decide to walk, most of us don’t walk in our neighborhoods……so we have to drive….and there’s gas, and then time to get there……..then you might sabatoge yourself and decide oh forget it, maybe I’ll just go eat or whatever……..

Then with other exercise equipment…….

We’re talking THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS of dollars…… oh, and don’t forget…..this stuff BREAKS.

Your step aerobics is always here for you. Not breaking. Not costing you money.

But seriously if ALL this isn’t enough, what about it being a HUGE time saver?

Just think, every time you watch your favorite tv show…….you know the one you can literally get ABSORBED into and HOURS AND HOURS fly by……..well what if during that time you just got in a little exercise? All it takes is just plopping your step platform in front of the tv and BAM you’re ready to go. Super super simple. None of the hassle of getting set up and ready with other exercise options. You’re ready to go literally whenever you want. 

SUMMARY: 

The worlds best exercise for large people is step aerobics.

Why? 

With Step aerobics you can move at ANY pace you feel comfortable with.

You don’t have to feel EXHAUSTED and OVERWORKED after a workout. Step aerobics can be light. 

You can do step aerobics anytime, anywhere

It’s a FULL BODY workout for larger people (hard to find)

Since it’s a full body workout your endorphins go THROUGH THE ROOF and you feel INCREDIBLE DURING your workout (and after)

You can do this while watching TV which makes it INCREDIBLY EASY to just keep going 

Since you move at your own pace, you don’t feel the need to “just give up” and burn out like with other workouts

If you want, you can go to classes with other people as well. Motivating yourself by committing to a class especially with a friend can be a huge motivational tool 

This is VERY low impact. Which if you’ve ever had knee or back problems……you’ll know this is huge for bigger people

These don’t have to be long workouts – meaning if you can only workout five minutes at a time THATS OKAY. I’ve been there. It’s hard, but with step aerobics you can do that. And just gradually progress until you can do an hour or two at a time (it’s worked for me) 

These workouts will give you CONFIDENCE. Every time you complete even a small five, or ten minute workout…..YOU ARE ACCOMPLISHING SOMETHING MAJOR. You are THAT MUCH CLOSER to your goals. Other workouts……when you fail and can’t do them because they’re simply to difficult…it hurts your confidence bad. When you feel like failure then you feel get in a spiral of self pity…….it’s no good. 

I could go on and on (I’m sure you realize that by now lol), but seriously step aerobics are awesome for larger people.

I’m sure by now you’ve thought of a few benefits I haven’t even mentioned as well.
